Consider the Teaching English as a Second Language Endorsement

Earning the Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) Endorsement adds value to your teaching credentials, making you especially valuable to school systems with even one English Learner (EL) student.

Mainstream teachers appreciate the extra skillset everyone in the classroom gains from this Greenville University program.

TESL training is trending in the USA with an ever-increasing population of immigrants and diverse learners in our schools today. Regardless of your district location, whether coastal or landlocked, when you possess sensitivity and teaching methods that fit the unique challenges of English learners K-12, you become a better teacher.

Best practices throughout the coursework include making connections with students. With this TESL endorsement, you will have the toolkit you need to make those connections and meet those challenges.

Cathy Fulkerson teaches in our Master of Arts in Education TESL program and is currently the ELL Department Chair for the Columbia Public Schools.
