Andy Rincker Named SLIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

GREENVILLE, Ill. - Greenville College's Andy Rincker, a senior from Strasburg, Ill. (Stewardson-Strasburg), has been named the Diamond Sports SLIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 27-May 3. Rincker, a 5-11 right-handed pitcher, posted a 1.12 ERA in two appearances on the mound last week. He went 1-0 with one complete game. In 8.0 total innings of action he struck out five batters while allowing six hits, two walks and one run.

Rincker pitched a complete game in the Panthers 5-1 victory versus Westminster College that helped secure a spot in the 2009 SLIAC Tournament. Greenville finished 3-1 on the week, with their lone loss a non-conference defeat to Washington University-St. Louis.
