Experience the Extreme: Students Spend Interterm in Colorado
Published: April 13, 2021
Each January, Greenville College students have the opportunity to spend three weeks taking unique interterm courses on and off campus. One of these is the Experience the Extreme Colorado Trip at Monarch Mountain.
The goal of the course is to provide a winter recreational experience and an outlet for media experimentation. Students not only play and learn during the trip, but gain a heightened awareness of how Christians can enjoy God's creation in Colorado. Digital Media students capture the experience minute-by-minute with audio, video, and image devices, and document them in blogs. The crew spends eight days in Colorado participating in recreational activities, including skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. Both Health and Recreation credit and Digital Media credit are available to students for the course.
