Fitness Training Center Named "Best in County"

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The Greenville College Fitness Training Center is one of a number of local businesses in Bond and Fayette County to receive a 2012 "Best in County" award from the Bond and Fayette County Shopper. It was voted the top fitness center in the Bond County.

The Fitness Training Center which has been operated by Greenville College since the mid-1980's is currently under supervision of manager Tom Broomfield.

The Fitness Training Center topped local establishments such as the Zone and Curves by gaining 51 percent of votes in the category. The recent transition to 24-hour access has been one of the most effective and well-received recent initiatives undertaken by Broomfield.

The Fitness Training Center features 15 FreeMotion weight training machines, multiple free weights, five FreeMotion treadmills, three FreeMotion elliptical cross training machines, four FreeMotion stationary bikes, two FreeMotion striders, a walking track, an 82-person capacity indoor heated pool, morning water aerobics classes, two saunas, and an aerobics room.

Memberships ranging from one month to one year increments are available.
