GC Softball Can't Top Fontbonne, Drop Both in Double-Header

CLAYTON, Mo.-- The Lady Panther Softball team could not hold off Conference rival, Fontbonne University, and lost both games in a double-header, with final scores of 10-2 and 10-1.

In the first game, Andrea Martin had the Panthers sole RBI. JessicaLaubecher was on the mound for GC, facing 30 batters and allowing 6 hits and 10 runs.

The second game of the day ended witha 10-2 Fontbonne win. Laubecher had an RBI for GC. Danielle Helms also had a ground into double play. Ashley Woodrome pitched four innings for GC, facing 24 batters and allowing 11 hits. Burger closed the game for Greenville, facing 4 batters and not allowing any hits.

These losses bring GC to 2-6 (0-2 SLIAC) thus far thisseason. The team will play at home tomorrow, March 23 when Beloit comes to town for a double-header.
