The local division competition includes a student competition and professional competition. The competition is open to any college student and professional designer/advertising agency south of Chicago. Entries who received gold in the local division will go on to compete in the regional division, which will include all the winners from Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. Kelly Baker and Beky Smith's designs were awarded gold and their pieces will be judged in the regional competition on March 19, 2011. Read more about the competition.

"We had more than triple the entries that we did last year and I thought the judges graded very hard in comparison to year's past. One of the judges has judged three advertising clubs this year and said this was the strongest student category that he had seen by far. They did very well! Although they are judged separately (from the professional entries), Kelly Baker scored 6th overall when they (the student entries) were mixed in with the agencies," said the President of the Peoria Advertising Club.

The president of the club also told Professor Wilcoxen that all of the entries from Greenville College scored in the upper two thirds of the competition even though all of them did not earn an award. The Greenville College Digital Media department is very proud of the students' hard work and creativity.
