GC to host 20th Century Fox Sneak Preview of I AM the Movie

Published: April 13, 2021

20th Century Fox screenwriter and director, John Ward, will be at Greenville College on October 29, 2010 to support the sneak preview of his new movie, "I AM." The faith-based movie is scheduled for release to the general public on November 2, 2010.

The pre-release showing of "I AM" is available at only select locations around the country and Greenville College is one of the chosen few. Not only will students and guests of the college have the chance to view the movie early, but will receive the opportunity to enjoy a special performance from an artist featured on the movie's soundtrack following a question and answer time with Director John Ward.

"I AM" is set in the city of Los Angeles. It follows the lives of ten strangers committing the ten sins listed in the Ten Commandments. While struggling in their sin the strangers each meet a companion who acts as a friend and counselor continually offering advice and understanding. Eventually, one by one, they each yield, and accept the wisdom of this mysterious stranger. "He is a man with no name, no home, no beginning, no end... He simply is -- always."

Greenville College has the unique opportunity to host two separate events on October 29. The first is on campus in the Upper Union at 7:00pm and includes the movie premiere followed by a Q&A session with John Ward and a performance from an artist from the soundtrack.

At 9:30pm, the College invites community members to attend an event just like the first, but hosted at the Globe Theater on the Greenville town square.
