GET READY TO ROCK! Free AgapeFest Kickoff Concert March 28
Published: April 13, 2021
The best things in life are free, so we're getting the AgapeFest season off to a good start with a free kickoff concert ! On Sunday March 28, the Greenville College AgapeFest Crew is excited to offer you a free evening with Random Hero, Burning Yesterday and Augustine Theory. The show, which is open to the public, will take place at 7 p.m. in Ladue Auditorium on the Greenville College campus.
Random Hero , a band based out of Denver, CO, has been known to tear apart audiences with its epic rock anthems. The band offers a "concoction of power electric guitar, screaming vocals, and gothic chorus in the background to quench ones thirst for ground-shaking rock." Though formed a little over two years ago in 2007, the band has already developed a devoted following, and was featured on MTV's MADE last year. Also, last year, at their first ever AgapeFest appearance, their music brought in more fans than any of the other Second Stage artists combined. Their success has garnered them a return invitation to AgapeFest 2010, as well as a prime position on Saturday's Main Stage.
To complement Random Hero's larger-than-life style, AgapeFest is bringing in Burning Yesterday . This ambitious five piece rock band from Nashville, TN offers music that promises to both "intrigue and mesmerize." The group describes their music as a "diverse sound that delivers a message of hope through Christ." Known for their ability to win over crowds with their energetic shows, Burning Yesterday has shared the stage with groups such as Flyleaf, Seventh Day Slumber and The Beautiful Republic. The group will appear onFriday on the Second Stage at AgapeFest 2010.
To finish out the trio, AgapeFest has secured Augustine Theory , a newly formed Greenville College band thatis currentlycompeting in the Battle of the Bands competition for AgapeFest 2010. Offering rock music with a touch of swag, the six member band fits perfectly into the evening's line-up. This "band of like-minded brothers" uses their music to "share the message of hope, peace, and the love of Christ," which makes them an ideal representative of GC.
Come out and celebrate the fact that AgapeFest is next month! Youth leaders are encouraged to bring youth groups to this event, and again, it's free!
