Greenville College Celebrates the Inauguration of 11th President, Dr. Larry H. Linamen

Greenville College celebrates the inauguration of Dr. Larry H. Linamen on Saturday, November 14. The inauguration begins at 10:00 a.m. in the James E. Wilson Recital Hall of the Whitlock Music Center. Members of the Greenville College community, alumni, friends of the college and visitors to the campus will enjoy a weekend full of activities and events to celebrate this appointment.
Dr. Larry H. Linamen began his tenure as the 11th president of Greenville College on July 1, 2009. He brings a strong commitment to Christ along with extensive leadership talents and a superb track record of accomplishment in higher education.
Upon the completion of his bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting at Anderson University in 1977, Dr. Linamen pursued degrees in higher education. He received an M.B.A. from Ball State University in 1978 and an Ed.D. in Business and Educational Administration from BSU in 1984. He also published a book in 1998 titled, Guide for the College Bound: Everything You Need to Know.
Prior to being named the president of Greenville College, Dr. Linamen served as the interim president and executive vice president at Crichton College in Memphis, TN. Previous posts also include dean of Graduate Business Programs at Taylor University, provost at Colorado Christian University and provost at Dallas Baptist University. Speaking of his experience at other institutions, Linamen shares, "My faith has been strengthened as I have watched God work in these institutions and in my life as I daily seek His will. My experience, passion for Christian higher education, and devotion to the Lord are the confidence upon which I pursue this presidency."
Dr. Linamen and his wife Dr. Kayla Fisher look forward to being a part of the Greenville community. Dr. Linamen has two daughters, Kaitlyn, a recent graduate of Colorado Christian University, and Kacie, a freshman at Discovery Canyon High School in Colorado.
