Greenville College Moves Up in Top Tier of Midwest Baccalaureate Colleges

Published: April 13, 2021

US News & World Report recently published its "America's Best Colleges" article, in which Greenville College again ranked in the top tier among Midwest baccalaureate colleges. Not only did Greenville College maintain a top tier position, but the college also improved its ranking, moving up more spots than any other college in the Midwest baccalaureate college category this year.

"We're thrilled to again be ranked by US News in the top tier. But, we take more satisfaction from the positive feedback that we're receiving from students, parents, and alumni about what's going on at Greenville College. I hope this recognition helps even more students discover how their lives can be transformed here," said Vice President for Enrollment Michael Ritter.

Up to 15 factors, such as retention rates and financial resources, are used by the US News & World Report to determine these rankings. These factors are assigned a score, which is then calculated and awarded to colleges. Baccalaureate colleges are institutions which focus on undergraduate education but grant fewer than half its degrees in liberal arts disciplines.

US News & World Report provides reports on colleges nationwide. People researching schools can find information on master's programs, liberal arts programs, and engineering programs. Students can also find and filter schools based on cost, location, and acceptance rates and standards.
