Greenville College to Host Hitting and Pitching Camps

GREENVILLE, Ill. - Greenville College has announced the scheduling of four baseball camps to be headed by the Greenville College baseball program. All camps will be held in the Crum Recreation Center and headed by former professional pitcher and Greenville College head baseball coach Lynn Carlson. YOUTH WINTER BASEBALL CAMP The first two camps are for 7-14 year olds on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 28-29, Each camp costs $45 or $80 for both. Family discounts are available.The program offers 7-10 year olds a pitching camp from 8:30 a.m. to noon and a hitting camp from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on both days. 11-14 year olds may participate in the hitting camp from 8:30 a.m. to noon and the pitching camp from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on both days.HIGH SCHOOL WINTER BASEBALL CAMP Players in high school are offered a hitting camp on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The pitching camp for high school players will be held the following Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.The cost of each high school camp is $40 or $70 for both. Family discounts are available.All baseball camps will include instruction on the fundamentals of baseball, videotaping of player mechanics, and player evaluation.
