Greenville's Daniel Bilinski picks up MCVL player of the week honors

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Greenville Colleges Daniel Bilinski has picked up the season's first MCVL offensive player of the week award.

Bilinski of Placentia, Calif., led the Panthers to a 2 - 0 start at the Fontbonne tri - match Saturday.

The freshman outside hitter blistered the ball with 35 kills (4.38/set) for a .310 hitting percentage.

Bilinski added seven digs and four total blocks and finished with 39 points.

The Californian totaled six kills with zero errors in a 3 - 0 sweep of Brooklyn and added 27 kills in the 3 - 2 win over Fontbonne.

Greenville (2 - 0, 0 - 0 MCVL) will return to the court Wednesday night with two matches against Lincoln College beginning at 5 p.m.
