Greenville’s Alex Holmes Earns UMAC Football South Division Defensive Player of the Week

GREENVILLE, Ill. - Alex Holmes, a senior defensive lineman from Huntsville, Ala., was named as the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference's defensive player of the week for games of Saturday, Oct. 17.

In Greenville's tight 38-30 Homecoming victory over MacMurray, four of Holmes' 4.5 tackles were for a loss. Included in this total were two quarterback sacks for a loss of 17 yards.

Greenville's record improved to 4-1 with the win, which is Greenville football's best record through five games since 1993.
