Greenville's Edgar Townsend Honored as UMAC Football South Division Special Teams Player of the Week

GREENVILLE, Ill. - Edgar Townsend, a senior defensive back from St. Anne, Ill., was named as the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference's special teams player of the week for games of Saturday, Sept. 12.

In Greenville's 42-20 loss at Augustana (Ill.), Townsend returned two punts for 91 yards and a touchdown. His 92-yard touchdown return at the end of the first half allowed Greenville to cut Augustana's lead to 28-18 before the Panthers successful two-point conversion gave them an eight-point deficit at halftime.

Greenville's record fell to 1-1 with the loss.
