GREENVILLE, Ill. - Greenville College's Mindy Siebert, a freshman from Cape Girardeau, Mo. (Notre Dame), tied the SLIAC women's soccer record for goals scored in a single game by scoring six times against Eureka on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Siebert's 12 points also equaled the SLIAC single game record and broke Greenville College's single-game record. With one regular season match remaining against Spalding on Saturday and postseason play beginning next week, Siebert will attempt to shatter Natalie Lappe's single-season Greenville record of 29 goals scored.
Siebert matched the conference record previously set by Webster's Christy Capkovic earlier this season. The six goals are the third most goals in a single game in NCAA III women's soccer history.
The multi-goal game was Siebert's eighth of the season. Her previous game-high was four goals, and she also posted a hat trick in the opening game of the season.
Siebert has totaled 27 goals and 12 assists for 66 points this season. The Greenville women's soccer team is 14-4 (5-2 SLIAC).
