Kerry Hammer Records 2000th Career Dig

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- During the Lady Panthers 3-0 win over Westminster Tuesday night, the Greenville College volleyball program honored Kerry Hammer who collected her 2000th career dig. Hammer, of Metamora, Ill. (Metamora Township High School), currently holds the all-time digs record at Greenville College.Over the past four years, Hammer has been a vital member of the volleyball team. She is currently ranked first in digs per game in the NCCAA and 13th in digs per game in the NCAA.Her per game dig average also ranks second in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC). She has not ranked lower than third in the conference with her digs per game average since she began participating in the SLIAC in 2005.Hammer has been the Panthers defensive player of the year for three consecutive years, a four-year starter, a two-year team captain, and a three-time all-conference player.Hammer is the daughter of Ken and Denise Hammer of Metamora.
