Laura Alo Named SLIAC Volleyball Player of the Week

GREENVILLE, Ill. - Laura Alo of Greenville College has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of October 2-8.The junior outside hitter from Manhattan, Ill., and Peotone High School led the Panthers to a 3-0 mark for the week, moving them over .500 for the season (10-8) and into third place in the SLIAC standings (3-1). Greenville defeated league foe Fontbonne University for the first time since 1996 in four games before adding three game sweeps of Hannibal-LaGrange College and MacMurray College later in the week.Alo hit .386 and averaged 3.6 kills, 2.7 digs and 0.50 aces per game for the week.
