Men's basketball extends SLIAC streak

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team took a 86-73 win over Eureka on Wednesday night to stay atop the SLIAC standings. Ron Harris had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead a quartet of Greenville starters with 11 or more points.
Greenville never trailed and led by 25 at one point late in the second half.
The Panthers outshot Eureka by a 49 percent to 41 percent clip and outrebounded the Red Devils by 13.
Tim Daniel added 17 points, including four three pointers.
Brian Ehresman chipped in 12 points, and Andrew Scott posted 11 markers.
The Panthers (8-4, 5-0 SLIAC) travel to preseason SLIAC favorite Webster for a 3 p.m. contest on Saturday.
