Men's Basketball stays atop SLIAC

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team remained one of two teams with a perfect conference record as they defeated Principia 74-51 on Saturday night. Tim Daniel was the leading scorer in the game with 19 points.
The Panthers again jumped out to an early advantage, scoring the first eight points of the game. Principia never led in the contest.
Greenville was on top 35-26 at halftime and eventually pushed the lead to 25 points.
The Panthers outshot Principia, making 27-of-58 shot attempts. Greenville was 8-of-19 from three point range and made 12-of-16 free throws.
Ron Harris added 10 points to Greenville's total. He matched Daniel for the team-lead in steals with two.
Harris and Andrew Scott led GC with two blocked shots. Scott was the leading rebounder with six caroms.
The Panthers (6-4, 3-0 SLIAC) resume their season on Saturday, Jan. 3, at Iowa Wesleyan.
