Men's track and field secures wins in 11 events at Principia

ELSAH, Ill. -- The men's track and field team soundly dominated the Principia multi's on Saturday as they took championships in 11 events.

Jonah Peoples completed the 200 meter dash in 22.98 seconds to win easily by nearly eight tenths of a second. He also completed the 60 meter dash in 7.12 seconds to take the victory. In the 60 meter hurdles, he posted a time of 8.45 seconds in his first place showing.

Andrew Sharp raced to the victory in the 400 with a time of 50.49 seconds.

The 4x400 meter relay team posted a time of 3:42 to easily win their event.

John Mangold was the top finisher in the mile run as he led a group of Panthers with a 4:35. Greenville had seven of the top eight finishers.

Matt Hughes managed to clear a height of 1.86 meters in his high jump winning performance.

LC Washington threw the shot put 12.98 meters to gain a victory by 24 hundredths of a meter.

Dusty Atteberry produced a mark at 14.99 meters as he took a win in the weight throw.

Jarrid Williams leapt 13.43 in the triple jump in his first place performance.

Treyvon Manning completed the 800 in 2:04.14 to win his event.

Selected members of the team will compete on Saturday at Wisconsin-Stevens Point in an NCAA qualifying meet.
