Men's track and field sees Williams hit qualifying mark at Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT, Wis. -- The men's track and field team entered five events at the Wisconsin - Stevens Point last chance meet on Saturday, and Jarrid Williams returned with the long jump title.
Williams posted a distance of 7.10 meters and saw himself rank 12th in NCAA Division III to earn a spot at the NCAA championships.
Andrew Sharp and Williams posted eighth place marks as well. Sharp completed the 800 meter run in 1:55.21, and Williams provided a jump of 13.41 meters in the triple jump.
Jonah Peoples was ninth in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.47 seconds.
John Mangold competed in the mile run and posted a 4:31 as he finished 15th.
Williams advances to the NCAA championships on March 11 and 12.
