Men's volleyball splits Saturday matches

GREENVILLE, Ill. The mens volleyball team split a pair of matches in Greenville on Saturday. The men lost their opening match 25-19, 25-15, 25-18 to Missouri Baptist and then capped the day with a 25-11, 25-8, 25-7 victory over Rust.

In the Missouri Baptist match, Greenvilles Daniel Bilinski led the team with 12 kills and two service aces.

On the defensive side of the net, Nick Corrigan posted six digs, and Nicolas Bilinski had three solo blocks and one block assist.

The Panthers hit at a .111 clip in the first set, .000 in the second, and .103 in the third. They totaled 11 kills in the final set.

The Rust match was a complete turnaround as Greenville dominated the match from start to finish.

The Panthers hit at a .379 hitting rate as Peter Binder led the team with 11 kills and four service aces.

Cooper Eaker provided 10 kills, and Andrew Johnson racked up 31 assists.

Miguel Vega Carmona led Greenville with eight digs.

The Panthers (9-7) host Lindenwood (IL) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
