Men’s Basketball Falls to Webster 68-50

ST. LOUIS, Mo.-- The men's basketball team headed west to Webster to take on the SLIAC-leading Gorloks in the final regular seasonroad game of the year. Webster controlled from tipoff and never looked back, downing Greenville 68-50.Leading the Panthers in the losing effort was senior forward Obinna Agomo. Agomo chipped in a game high 16 points and snagged five boards in the loss.
Hitting six of eight three-pointers in the first half, Webster raced to a 41-20 halftime lead and coasted to victory.
Despite the loss, the Panthers (12-11, 8-7SLIAC)have locked up a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament berth next weekend. Theywill firstaim to defend H.J. Long Gymnasium on Monday, Feb. 21, against Spaldingin the final regular season tilt of the year.
