Men’s Track & Field Again Sweeps SLIAC Awards; White and Fridge Earn Honors

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Greenville College's Brian White, a junior from Harvey, Ill. (Harvey Thorton), has been named the SLIAC Men's Track Performer of the Week, andGreenville College'sEJ Fridge, a freshman from Cahokia, Ill., has been named the SLIAC Men's Field Performer of the Weekfor the week of March 28-April 3.

White placed first out of 59 competitors at the WUSTL Invitational with his NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 10.69 seconds in the 100-meter dash. It was a career best for White and currently ranks him second in NCAA Division III.

White was also part of the 4x100 team that placed first out of 16 teams in the event with a time of 42.03 seconds.

Greenville placed third out of 23 schools competing at the Invitational with a final score of 62.

Joining White, Greenville College's EJ Fridge, a freshman from Cahokia, Ill., has been named the SLIAC Men's Field Performer of the Week for the week of March 28-April 3.

Fridge posted three career best marks at the WUSTL Invitational last weekend. He placed fifth out of 35 competitors with a 45'3.5" throw in the shot put. He also placed fifth in the hammer throw with a throw of 144', and Fridge finished 10th out of 32 competitors in the discus throw with a mark of 126'10".
