Men’s Track & Field Competes at Louisville Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. The mens squad attended the Louisville Cardinal Twilight Classic on Friday on the campus of the University of Louisville. GC took place in the last chance meet to improve upon marks and times in hopes of qualifying for the NCAA DIII NCAA Championships.

GCs 4x1 squad of Phillip Thomas, Josh Garcia, Mark Mitchell, and Brian White headlined the mens efforts, placing third with a time of 41.70 that ranks them third in all of NCAA DIII.

Juniors Coree Woltering and Josh Dees also turned in nice days in the 800, running a 1:56.00 and 1:56.31 respectively.

Greenville College mens track and field has their sights set on the NCAA DIII National Championships at Ohio Wesleyan on May 26-28, but will split up this week with athletes attending last chance meets at North Central, Augustana, and University Wisconsin Lacrosse.
