Men’s Track & Field Splits Competition at SLU and Tennessee Tech

GREENVILLE, Ill. Greenville College mens track and field participated in two separate locations on Friday and Saturday, as the squad broke up to compete in St. Louis and Memphis, Tenn.

At Tennessee Techs Boston Moon Invite, it was freshman Bruce Gray that again blazed the short track for the Panthers, notching a 10.70, second place finish in the 100M dash and followed that performance with a 21.60, first place effort in the 200M dash. Gray is NCAA nationally ranked in the top 10 in both the 100m and 200m competitions.

The Panthers 4x1 squad of Anthony Ambers, Gray, Josh Garcia, and Brian White improved their seed in NCAA DIII, moving into the top ten with a time 41.80 for a second place finish.

Sophomore hammer specialist Josh Kuusisto posted a lifetime PR in the mens hammer competition with a toss of 53.70m. Kuusistos heave landed him first place in the meet and situates him in the 25th spot nationally in all of NCAA DIII.

Back in Missouri at the first annual St. Louis University Invitational, transfer Jace Sloan posted a throw of 55.45m to win the Javelin throw and improve his seasons PR.

Mens track and field will return to action on Friday, April 20 as the club travels to Terre Haute, Ind. and competes at the Rose Hulman Invitational.
