New WGRN Fall Shows

Radio lovers are sure to be excited by two brand new shows on Greenville Colleges radio station WGRN, 89.5 FM, which services the town of Greenville and surrounding southern Illinois area. Program Director Matthew Browns new show Matts Mondays, airs from 9pm- 12 pm on Mondays. WGRN staff member LaTosque Adams also has a new radio show. Adams explained his show saying it's a show about sports and hip-hop and having fun with life and not being so up tight.
Adams program "LA" airs on Wednesdays from 9-11 pm. Along with the new shows WGRN has four returning shows. John Wesley Flatts "Everything Show" returns in its Wednesday night slot from 8-9. "Dirty Roots," hosted by Ryan Mifflin airs Thursday nights from 8-10. Dennis Kellys "Saturday Night Ride" airs from 7-11, and Greg Rowdens "Happenin Sunday" finishes off the weekend in the 5-6 pm slot.
There are 16 new members to the WGRN staff that will help run the station for the fall semester. They are all students in the COM 140 class, Radio Station Operations, which meets on the Greenville College campus. The students of COM 140 learn how to prepare for the job of a DJ by working at the WGRN studio for a few hours each week. Additionally, they broadcast all chapel services (Mon, Wed, Fri) at 9:30- 10:20 am.
