Rabbit Hole Opens at the Factory Theatre

Published: April 13, 2021

The Factory Theatre at Greenville College will produce Rabbit Hole , the 2007 Pulitzer Prize winner for Drama, Wednesday, October 27 through Saturday, October 30 at 7:30pm each night.

Rabbit Hole , by David Lindsay-Abaire, explores the aftermath of a devastating personal loss. The Corbetts have everything a family could want, until the day their world is turned upside down following a tragic accident.

Throughout the show, Becca and Howie struggle to cope with the death of their 4-year-old son. The play charts the course of the couple and their unconventional extended family members as they each deal with their personal grief, and exposes the strains that grief puts on their relationships.

Juniors Lindsey Schuberth and Nathan Ondracek portray the young couple. Director Vondria Bergen '85 assumes the role of Becca's mother. Senior Gemma Heilmer plays the rebellious sister, and Sophomore Stephen Gerling completes the cast.

While Rabbit Hol e is filled with heartbreak and compassion, it is also witty and occasionally funny. Rabbit Hole is ultimately a glimpse into the family's bittersweet journey on a path that will lead them back into healing, hope, and happiness.

Due to the nature of the subject matter, Rabbit Hol e is recommended for mature audiences. Following the performances on Wednesday and Friday, audience members are invited to a discussion with the directors and actors.

Tickets are available in Greenville at Jo's Java and Watson's Drugstore for $7 and $5.
