Rachel Brewer Named SLIAC Softball Hitter of the Week

GREENVILLE, Ill. - Greenville College's Rachel Brewer, a freshman from Mulberry Grove, Ill., has been named the SLIAC Softball Hitter of the Week for the week of March 30-April 5.Brewer, a first baseman, hit .538 with 10 RBI, three home runs and one double in four games played last week. She went 7-for-13 at the plate, scored six runs and reached base on balls a total of four times. She also had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 27 putouts.Brewer had a 1.231 slugging percentage, was hit-by-pitch twice and intentionally walked two times last week. She helped power Greenville to a sweep of non-conference opponent Illinois College, in which the Panthers scored 28 runs combined in the double header. Brewer recorded two home runs and finished 3-for-3 with four RBI in Greenville's 13-11 come-from-behind victory versus Fontbonne University.
