Softball Splits Wednesday's Double-Dip With Webster

GREENVILLE, Ill. GC Softball split a Wednesday night SLIAC double-header against Webster University with a 5-2 win in the first, and an 8-0 defeat in the capper. Greenville was led in the first by pitcher Lindsay Schuberth who dealt seven innings and surrendered only 2 runs on five hits to help Greenville notch the win.
Schuberth also had a stellar day at the plate, batting 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored to help Greenville to the 5-2 win in the opener.
The second half of the double-header saw the Lady Panthers fall 8-0. Greenville amassed only two hits in the contest, and committed four team errors through the six-inning game.
Sophomore Erin Williams was served the loss, getting little run support for her three earned on six hits.
Greenville Softball (4-13, 1-3 SLIAC) will return to action Friday, April 8, as they travel to Stephens for an afternoon double-header.
