Spalding Slips by Men's Basketball

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball fought hard but was defeated 66-60 by Spalding on Thursday night. Tim Daniel was Greenville's high scorer in the contest with 14 points.
The score was knotted at 30 at the halftime intermission, but Spalding outshot the Panthers by nearly 20 percent in the second half to take the win.
Greenville's other leading scorer was Alex Mumphard with 13 points. Ron Harris came down with seven rebounds.
The Panthers (13-10, 9-7 SLIAC) host Iowa Wesleyan on Saturday at 3 p.m. Greenville still sits in fifth place behind Westminster for the fourth and final SLIAC tourney bid.
