Summer Academic Programs: Something for Everyone

Traditional students will say goodbye and quickly depart from the main campus this May, but Greenville College will continue to offer academic programs throughout the summer months on campus, online, and at partnership locations.

The School of Education is offering several programs this summer. Certified teachers can benefit from endorsement programs including special education , middle school and driver's education . Special education will begin in June at Greenville, Godfrey, Centralia, and Lincoln, IL. Middle school and driver's education and endorsements will be offered online.

Certified teachers can also take courses towards a master's degree in special education this summer. Students are encouraged to register by May 14 for summer endorsements and the master's degree in special education.

Greenville offers a unique master's degree in teaching designed for students with a variety of undergraduate degrees. The MAT program , which begins in June, prepares students to receive their Illinois teaching certification in elementary or secondary education. The application deadline is April 26.

A number of 100-level online courses are available to high school juniors and seniors this summer through Greenville's High School Dual Enrollment program . Students are able to earn college credit through quality online instruction.

Traditional students may leave campus in May, but many will take online classes , complete internships, study abroad, or complete an independent study this summer.
