The Academic Year Begins

Greenville College begins the academic year Wednesday, August 25 with Convocation Chapel at 9:30 a.m. in H.J. Long Gymnasium featuring guest speaker, Dr. Ben Witherington.

Dr. Witherington is a Bible scholar and professor of New Testament for doctoral studies at Asbury Theological Seminary and on the doctoral faculty at St. Andrews University in Scotland. He has written over 40 books and has traveled across the world lecturing and teaching at seminars. Witherington will share his experience and vision with the Greenville College community to mark the beginning of the academic year.

Dr. Witherington will sell and sign his books in the H.J. Long lobby immediately following convocation. A colloquium has been scheduled with Witherington at 3:30 p.m. in Ladue Auditorium.
Wednesday's convocation chapel and colloquium are free and open to the public.
