Three Panthers Head to NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships

GREENVILLE, Ill. - Three Greenville track and field athletes will head to the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships this weekend in Bloomington, Ill. Illinois Wesleyan hosts the meet on Friday and Saturday, March 11-12.The Lady Panthers' lone representative will be Amanda Trempert in the 55 meter hurdles. Trempert heads to the meet with the eighth fastest hurdle time in the country. Amanda's 8.40 second time from the Illinois College quad meet is her seed time for the national championship.For the men, Brandon Tripp and Bryson Taylor will represent the Panthers. Tripp heads to the national meet with the country's second fastest time in the 55 meter dash. Tripp sped 6.40 seconds at the Illinois Wesleyan Titan Open which is the same track hosting the national championship event. Taylor, fresh off the basketball season, qualified in the triple jump at the Illinois College quad meet. Taylor's leap of 47 feet, 7 inches ranks him sixth in the country going into championship competition.The men will look to improve upon last year's 15th place finish, while the ladies welcome the thought of their second indoor All-American.
