GRINNELL, Iowa -- The men's track and field team picked up points at the NCAA Division III indoor national championships on Saturday as Jarrid Williams was seventh in the long jump.

Williams hit a mark of 6.94 meters (22' 9.25") in his first jump, and it held up through the finals as the seventh best mark.

Williams also recorded distances of 6.69 meters and 6.90 meters in his preliminary jumps.

In the finals he reached distances of 6.91 meters and 6.75 meters and fouled in his other attempt.

The All-American honor was the second of Williams' Greenville career and first individual award. He was a member of the 4x100 meter relay that was seventh at the 2015 outdoor national championships.

Williams became the first male long jump All-American from Greenville College at the indoor nationals since Danny Donaldson was third in 2003 and 2004. Williams is the second male from Greenville College to compete in the long jump at the indoor national championships.

The Panthers will begin their outdoor season on March 25.
