Women Earn All Scholar Honors

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) recently recognized student-athletes who earned All Scholar- Athlete designation during the 2010 indoor track season. The Lady Panthers landed a remarkable 9 on this year's list!
Representing Greenville:
Shanna Ambuehl, senior distance runner from Kinmundy, IL majoring in Physical Education.
Talen Gerber heralding from Fairbury, IL placed 5th in the 800 and was a member of the runner-up DMR that set a school record. Talen is majoring in English Education.
Jaclyn Johnson-Cross, senior English Education major from Belleville, IL who placed fourth in the weight throw at the NCCAA Championships.
Alissa Kirsteatter a distance runner from Mendota, IL is majoring in Math Education, and shared honors with senior sprinter Ashly Masten as having the highest GPA amongst the Lady Panthers with an impressive 3.94. Masten is from Petersburg, IL majoring in Early Childhood Education placing in the 55, 200 and as a member on the 3rd place 4x200 team.
Senior Abby Owens, senior Chemistry major from Orion, IL was 5th in the high jump.
Sara Schlink was a member of the record setting DMR that placed 2nd at the NCCAA Championships and also ran a personal best in the 3000 meter run (11:13).Schlink majors in Math Education.
Twin sisters Jen and Michelle Sutton continued to make their mark in and out of the classroom. Both are Biology majors from Jackson, MI with the goal of dental school. Jen led off the school record setting DMR relay. She also ran the open 800 and a leg on the 4x400 while sister Michelle was placing 8th in the mile (5:15) and 5th in the 3000 meter run.
All Scholar Student -Athletes must be a junior or senior and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
