Women's basketball runs away with 71-32 win

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- Playing back-to-back games for the second time this season, the women's basketball team continued their solid play as they took a 71-32 conference win over Blackburn. Laura Goodnight put on a show with 29 points and eight rebounds to lead in both categories.
Greenville held a commanding 24-12 lead after one period and expanded their lead to 43-23 at halftime.
Greenville outscored Blackburn by a 12-5 margin in the third quarter and closed the game with a 16-4 fourth quarter.
Claire Schmitt passed out six assists, and Coley Baker added five blocked shots.
The Lady Panthers (6-3, 2-1 SLIAC) will travel to Culver-Stockton on Tuesday night for their final game of the first semester.
