Women's track and field earns six titles at Principia

ELSAH, Ill. -- The women's track and field team obtained wins in six events as they performed well at the Principia multi's on Saturday.
Marideth Tate outdistanced her competition by over six tenths of a meter to gain a victory with a weight throw distance of 12.57 meters. Tate also gained a first place mark in the shot put with a distance of 10.88 meters.
Gabby Adams took first place in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 11.51 seconds.
Brooke Goodyear clocked a time of 10:54 to finish the 3,000 meter run on top of the field by 14 seconds.
Sierah Ruffner cleared 1.53 meters in the high jump to secure a win.
Janisha Pealer produced a long jump distance of 5.01 meters in her winning performance.
Selected members of the team will compete on Saturday at Wisconsin-Stevens Point in an NCAA qualifying meet.
