Women's Indoor Track and Field Impressive Showing at Olivet Nazarene

BOURBONNAIS, Ill.-- Taylor Brunner's1st place finish in the Pentathalon and Maggie McMurtrey's 4th place inWeight Throwwere the top performances for GC this weekend.
Brunner earned first place in the Pentathlon after earning the top scores in both the High Jump (1.49m)and Long Jump (5.07m) portions of her event. She finished first in the event, with a final score of 2869.
Maggie McMurtrey competed in both Shot Put and Weight Throw for Greenville. She finished 4th in Weight Throw with a distance of 14.07m and came out in 8th place in Shot Put, with a distance of 10.41m.
The GC 4x400 Meter Relay team finished in 8th place with a combined time of 4:36.91. The team consisted of Bailey Keim, Taylor Thomas, Maggie Tarr, and Rachel Renshaw.
The women will compete again on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Dr. Jim Green Classic in Jacksonville, Ill. at 11:00am.
