Women’s Tennis Topped 5-0 by Principia in SLIAC Semifinal

ELSAH, Ill. The womens tennis team saw their season end in the semifinals of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament as they fell 5-0 to No. 1 seed Principia. Greenville earned the fourth seed in the four team tournament as they qualified with a SLIAC dual match record of 3-3.
In the matches of the day, the No. 2 doubles team of Nathalia Jones and Avery Cole gave the Principia duo of Courtney Banko and Hilary Frandsen headaches as they lost 8-6 in a closely contested match.
Cole and Brittany Headrick were defeated in straight sets in No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively. The No. 1 team of Jamie Harling and Katherine Maurer could only win one game from Principia as they lost 8-1, and the No. 3 team of Lisa Kistner and Headrick were swept 8-0.
