Women's Track and Field Finishes Fifth at Illinois College

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The women's track and field team traveled to Illinois College Saturday to take part in the Dr. Jim Green Classic. The Lady Panthers were led again by Rochaunda Harris who posted a throw of 58.25 feet and bested her previous season mark by over two feet in the weight throw.

Harris, who has dominated the competion all year, again placed first and is currently ranked second in all of NCAA Division III in the weight throw.

Junior Imari Mason also turned in a stellar performance for Greenville earning points in the 60-meter hurdles, long jump, 60-meter dash, and the 4x400-meter relay.

Aubree Schreder also aided the Panthers to the fifth place spot, contributing a 5:21 mile in her first collegiate race. Schreder finished fourth overall and earned five points.

The women's track and field team will next compete Saturday, Feb. 12, at Monmouth (Ill.) in the Fighting Scot Invitational.
