Women’s Track Competes at North Central

NAPERVILLE, Ill. Greenville College Womens Indoor Track and Field traveled north on Saturday looking to improve upon previous season and personal bests in hopes of qualifying or improving marks for the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships. Junior Philita Johnson turned in a stellar day, setting the school record in both the 400m and 200m dash with times of 57.77 and 25.90.

Apart from Johnson several other ladies showcased their talents at North Central Colleges Al B. Carius Track and Field Complex. Senior Rochaunda Harris, who has already qualified for Nationals, tossed her season best in the weight throw with her effort of 5810.75. Harriss mark won the meet, and also ranks her sixth in all of Division III.

Freshman Aubree Schreder finished eighth in the 3k with her time of 10.48.

No team scores were kept at the meet that serves as the team's final tune-up before next weekend's NCAA Division III National Championships hosted by Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
