Women’s Track & Field Participates in UL Last Chance Meet

LOUISVILLE, Ky. Seniors Michelle Sutton and Penny Grant led the womens efforts at the University of Louisville Twilight Classic on Friday night with a set of school records. Sutton broke the school mark in the 1500m run with an impressive time of 4:40.85, and Grant continued to dominate the jumps with a triple jump of 39 3 to place third.

Apart from the school record in the triple jump, Grant also performed well in the long jump, taking fifth and hitting another NCAA qualifying mark of 189.79.

Greenville College womens track and field has their sights set on the NCAA DIII National Championships at Ohio Wesleyan on May 26-28, but will split up this week with athletes attending last chance meets at North Central, Augustana, and University Wisconsin Lacrosse.
