Published: January 11, 2022

Digging deep into a subject over the course of a semester or even a year gives students unique opportunities to collaborate, solve problems, manage resources, and add value to the greater community.

Just out, the Winter 2022 RECORD features Greenville University students immersing themselves in everything from virtual reality and thermodynamics to tour management and event production. Don’t miss features on:

  • The team of student troubleshooters and technicians (pictured at right) who make GU’s weekly all-campus worship service (a.k.a. The Wednesday Experience) possible. Deep dive learning: Winter 2022 RECORD showcases immersive learning experiences
  • The engineering and business students behind “The Imagination Station,” a device they hope will leverage virtual reality to bring adventure to persons with limited mobility.
  • Recent graduate JJ Smith’s senior project, an album that integrates elements of his double major in music industry studies and English, plus collaboration and performance with bandmates.

As GU President Suzanne Davis says, the University aims for every graduate to walk away from GU “with a resume full of experiences where they exercised their Christ-like character and ‘others-first’ thinking.”
