Several Greenville business owners and managers attended a recent brown-bag luncheon at the SMART Center in downtown Greenville at which four panelists discussed techniques and strategies to help businesses increase sales.
Sponsored jointly by the Greenville Chamber of Commerce and a Greenville University Sales and Sales Management class, the event included presentations by the panelists as well as a question-and-answer session in which members of the audience could ask panelists about their experiences and recommendations.
Panelists were (from left to right): Roger Sanders, a former sales executive in the agriculture industry; Tom Kennedy, general manager of WGEL radio station in Greenville; Austin Rexroad, a GU graduate and crop insurance agent at Daum Insurance in Greenville; and Sandy Michel, managing broker at RE/MAX Alliance Real Estate in Vandalia.
In addition to representatives of Greenville area businesses, the audience included members of the GU Sales and Sales Management class as well as Chamber of Commerce representatives. The event was organized by Elaine McNamara, executive director of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, and Jane Bell, a professor in GU’s Briner School of Business.
