Greenville University introduces new website design

Greenville University recently unveiled a new website design that will offer users an improved digital experience as they seek information about the University.

The website (https://www.greenville.edu) now offers a clean, bold design that tells the GU story in a format that is mobile-friendly and easily navigated.

“The website now shows the exciting things that are happening at Greenville University,” said Terri Sunderland, GU’s chief marketing and communications officer. “And it invites students, donors, alumni, and community members to ‘Experience. The Difference’ that is Greenville University.”

She said that the new site, designed by The FORM Group of Cleveland, Ohio, offers the following assets:

• A clear articulation of the university’s brand and story;
• A modern, mobile-friendly design featuring animation;
• Filtered news and media;
• A robust program search by field of study, degree type, and keywords;
• Stories from GU students, alumni, and donors; and
• Dashboards for users.

The company was selected through a nationwide search by the University that began in 2022. Ten pre-qualified vendors were asked to present a proposal and seven responded. Once selected, representatives of The FORM Group met with several departments across the GU campus to ensure that the eventual website design met the needs of the institution’s many stakeholders.

FORM’s officials said its creative team sought to design a modern-looking website that elevates the school’s brand presence through strong visual elements, bold type, and a streamlined navigation system.

“We chose FORM because they truly listened to who we are as an institution and what we wanted to accomplish through this website,” Sunderland said. “They have done websites for many universities, and as a result they understand the mission of our website – both on the enrollment side and the advancement side. They’ve been wonderful to work with, and we look forward to a long-term relationship with their custom content management system.”

The new website replaces an aging system that had several limitations and required significant developer involvement. The new website will allow GU marketing personnel to be more self-sufficient and responsive when changes are needed.
