GU Bands are Family to Me!

GU bands are incredibly important to me because of the family aspect.

Over the past three years, being part of the bands on campus has created a strong sense of community that has brought us together. We prioritize building bonds through various events we hold throughout the year. This keeps our family strong and helps with our musicality and playing of our varied pieces.

This family has provided me with a supportive community throughout my college journey and friends that I never would have had without GU's band. While we may not all participate in every band, we unite as one big family.

Through these experiences, our friendships flourish alongside our music. Moreover, GU bands play a vital role in connecting with the Greenville community. We perform at various events and areas, such as the DeMoulin Museum, All College Hike, football games, and concerts, helping to bridge the gap between our campus and the town.

Being a part of the bands at GU has been one of the biggest highlights of my college experience, and I’m excited to see them continue to thrive in the years to come!
