Felicity Clark and Levi Eads were recently elected to lead the Greenville Student Government Association for the 2026-2027 academic year – Clark as president and Eads as vice president. Both have previously held GSGA leadership roles, so they are familiar with the organization.
Clark, a sophomore in elementary education (with a special education endorsement), grew up in Sacramento, CA. She works part-time at 1892 Supply and was awarded an Almira Leadership Scholarship. She previously served as the GSGA activity director. Her interests include music, concerts, coffee, the beach, and hanging out with friends. A little-known fact about her is that she can surf.
Eads, a senior in physical education, is a native of Hume, IL, which is 125 miles northeast of Greenville. He’s a member of the GU track team and Project L.E.A.D. At GU, he’s been a student senator, vice president of Project L.E.A.D., and the GSGA director of campus organizations. His interests include playing pickleball and sand volleyball. A little-known fact about him is that he once broke his collarbone after falling at the end of a track race.
To allow the Greenville University community to get to know them, we asked Clark and Eads to respond to a series of questions. Those questions and their responses follow.
• Why do you enjoy being involved in student government activities?
Clark: I love being involved on campus, creating connections with students and staff while making GU a place where people want to be. I want to give back to the community that has become my home over the past two years and serve those who have helped create it. Ultimately, I feel that the Lord has called me into this leadership position, and I love being part of His ministry through GSGA – being the hands and feet of Jesus.
Eads: Being involved in student government activities allows me to make an impact on GU’s community. My involvement has helped me grow as a leader, build confidence, and develop leadership skills that I’ll use in my future.
• Goals and priorities for GSGA during the coming academic year?
Clark: My priority, as the next GSGA student body president, is to make sure that all students feel at home here – that they have a supportive community and are loved and seen. While the events we put on might seem just like silly, fun ways to entertain students, they are really intentional. Community is so important, especially in this season when we are all on our own for the first time. I hope that GSGA helps make GU feel like home.
Eads: My goals for GSGA next year are to increase student involvement, ensure that students are heard, and create a stronger sense of community. We want to plan events that make students feel included and represented. Overall, the priority is to make the school year more positive, engaging, and supportive for everyone.
• What are your favorite things about GU?
Clark: My favorite thing about GU is the people. I’ve met my best friends here and have made connections that will last a lifetime. The professors are so supportive, and I can tell that they truly want me to succeed. I will be forever grateful for the people GU has placed in my life. I love the small-town feel here; it is a nice change from the busy city I grew up in. I also love how GU is a Christ-centered campus, a place where I get to worship with my friends and professors. I know that people are praying for the students – encouraging us to dive deeper into our faith and incorporate it into all aspects of our lives.
Eads: I appreciate the strong sense of community and the opportunities to get involved on campus. I really enjoy the supportive environment from both students and faculty, which makes the campus feel welcoming and motivating.
• If you could change one thing about GU, what would it be?
Clark: I want to encourage students to make connections with the GU faculty and staff. Though we are sometimes apprehensive about making those connections, the faculty and staff are so dedicated to their students and genuinely want to help students succeed. The support I have received from my professors has made a huge difference, and I want all GU students to experience that.
Eads: I want to help create more opportunities for students’ voices to be heard. Giving students a stronger voice on campus would make our environment feel more inclusive. It would also encourage more engagement and help build a community where everyone feels valued and represented.
• A year from now, what accomplishment do you want to look back on and say, “We did that!”?
Clark: I hope that a year from now, we can look back and feel proud of what we accomplished and the culture we have helped create on campus. My goal is to put on events that encourage students to make new friends and enjoy life. Enjoying those fun events fills our cups and makes campus a place where we thrive mentally, emotionally, academically, and spiritually.
Eads: I want to be able to look back and say, “We made a real difference for students.” I hope we will have been able to bring more voices to the table, plan events that brought the community together, and create a school environment where everyone feels included, heard, and supported.
• Concluding comments?
Clark: I’m super excited to be taking on this new role, and I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity. I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for the next academic year.
Eads: I’m excited to serve in this role because I enjoy working with others to make a positive impact on our school community. I’m committed to listening to students’ ideas, planning meaningful events, and making sure everyone feels included and represented. I’m ready to bring energy, creativity, and dedication to this role. I want to make it a great year for everyone.
