Greenville University Named Military Friendly School

Published: April 13, 2021

Greenville University Named Military Friendly SchoolGreenville University has been designated a Military FriendlySchool for 2020-2021 byViqtory Media, a leader in connecting the military and civilian worlds. Each year, the group identifies employers and schools who provide best opportunities for veterans and their spouses.

Military Friendlybases its studies on data supplied by federal agencies, veteran students, and participating organizations. GU was one of more than 1,000 schools participating in the 2020-2021 designation process.

The review included measurement of GUs commitment, effort, and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for the military community. It also involved assessment of GUs ability to meet thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, and persistence (advancement toward a degree or transfer). Loan default rates for students, particularly military veterans, also factored into the designation.

Greenville University serves veterans, spouses, and children of veterans who use VA benefits.
