A letter from the Director

Greetings from Greenville, Alumni! I hope you’re doing well.

Effective November 1, I will transition from my role as Director of Alumni and Church Relations to Director of Philanthropy. This change will allow me to focus full-time on our donors and prospects for giving, most of whom are alumni.

Since my return to Greenville in 2019, my role required balancing a workload of 50% alumni relations with 50% philanthropy work, and that balance has often been challenging for me. This shift will allow me to concentrate fully on engaging our alumni and friends in support of Greenville University, enabling me to serve our alma mater more effectively. I’m grateful for the support of our administrators as I make this move.

I want to make sure that you, members of our alumni association, know that I sincerely appreciate your Greenville stories and your passion for and service to our alma mater. It has been a pleasure working with you. Thank you for giving your time, talent, and treasures to support our alma mater. Your dedication and involvement are important to me and to GU, and I appreciate you being engaged alumni.

The position of full-time alumni director has been posted. I’m committed to ensuring a smooth transition and am excited about the opportunities ahead. Please reach out if you have any questions or want to discuss this transition.

Thank you for your support of Greenville University,

Dewayne
